Spring in Oregon. My Pictures of the Day

Our spring break, March 2012. We rented a house in Waldport (We didn't stay in B&B, it's just a picture of a lovely house).

  5. We love Yachats!! It appears that you missed most of the flooding issues that we are having now along the coast (and inland). Sooooo ready for some decent weather!!
    Beautiful photography as always!
Where was the B and B?

  7. Thanks for this. I'm a native Oregonian, lived there for almost 50 years. Although Colorado is our home now, the green and gray palette of NW Oregon is forever in my heart.

  9. Thank you for looking at these pictures! It was a very wet spring break, but we had a couple of sunny days. And, of course, the ocean is beautiful always! We rented a house in Waldport. Next time, we might stay in Yachats. The B&B could be in Newport(?). The puppy didn't even tried to go to the water (smart!). He was confused and disoriented a bit (it was his first big travel). We think he missed our home. We were afraid to hit flooded roads, but everything was OK.
Heather, I can not get to your blog! Please, include your own blog in the list of your favorite blogs, or include it in your blog profile!

  16. I always wanted to visit Oregon and your images are so inviting. Almost like I did visit. Thanks for the tour of the countryside, one of my favorite places to relax and refresh.

  17. Dear Tatyana, My husband and I looked at your pictures together. He was particularly impressed with the open-farmland, as our area has become very built up, and our small farm seems to be in the minority. We must visit Oregon! P. x

  19. Oh, wow, such gorgeous shots! I love old barns, but I'm not used to seeing them with mountains in the background. It's God's country.

  20. Who would ever have thought I would be in regular touch with someone in Oregon. I still picture the movies of my childhood days with the covered wagons and the early settlers heading east. Tatyana your pictures today are wonderful.

  21. Thank you everyone! Oregon is beautiful. It has hundreds of nurseries, and it's such a pleasure to see their trees in bloom.
Alistair, I saw a wheel from one of those old wagons, but its price was .... about $500. I could see it in my garden.

  22. What lovely shots of the countryside. Why does the greens in spring look so much greener. I love the rugged coastline pictures. You must like barns too. They have so much character. Especially the shot with the mountains in the background. Great posting.

  24. Lovely, lovely photos of spring in your neck of the woods. I especially like the deserted beach...a perfect place to walk and exercise the dog.

  27. I'd never really had cause to stop and think what Oregon's countryside might be like, but I am absolutely blown away by how magnificent a landscape it has!
It is so very, very different to North East Derbyshire, the part of the UK where I live - thank you so much for sharing these awesome photos!
